High quality Swedish timber

Established in 2006 AB Timber is a specialist supplier of Swedish timber and Swedish products. We have over 60 years of combined experience in sawmilling, processing and manufacturing within the European timber markets.

Strong purchasing relationships with many sawmills and planing mills across Sweden, enable us to source raw material against your requirements. Our expertise is supplying industrial customers and builders merchants across the world. You are welcome to join as well.

We also strive for excellence to fulfil our customers individual requirements. We have a great amount of flexibility and can offer mixed loads of different sizes to suit your production requirements.

AB Timber sources all of its raw material from well managed areas and supplies across Sweden. At AB Timber we believe that timber has a great future. It is natural, renewable, recyclable, non-toxic, bio-degradable unlike alternatives such as concrete, masonry and steel.

Our process

Wood is our natural choice of material

The choice of wood is a given for us. Text about it being abundant, locally harvested and its positive impact on the environment …

Our raw material

Spruce

Spruce (Picea Abies) is one of 36 different types of spruce in the world. It can be over 40 meters tall, and 250–300 years old. In Sweden it is normally harvested after 80–100 years. After harvesting, cutting and drying to 18% moisture content its weight is about 460 kg/m³.

Pine

Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) is one of 30 different types of pine in the world, and can be over 30 meters tall. The oldest known pine tree in Sweden is 800 years old and 37 meters tall. Normally it is harvested after 90–150 years. At 18% moisture content its weight is about 500 kg/m³. About 35% of Sweden’s forests is pine.

AB Timber acquire raw material from approximately 50 suppliers annually.
